Connectors type RAMFOR has the same outside shape as a traditional Kenter joining shackle, but with improved fatigue properties. The difference is the design of the interior. The RAMFOR and RAMFOR Slim designs have a locking head of a different design than that of the Kenter joining shackles. This locking head has been designed to provide a larger load-carrying area, which in turn gives a better stress distribution.

RAMFOR and RAMFOR Slim type connectors have the same outside shape as the Kenter joining shackle and the RAMFOR Slim has a reduced thickness equal to the Baldt type connector. The slim shape will enable the RAMFOR Slim connector to be used on every mooring system on semisubmersibles, offshore loading systems etc. and will fit any wildcat.

RAMFOR and RAMFOR Slim are dismantled/assembled in a similar way as the Kenter joining shackle, but with greater ease.

RAMFOR/RAMFOR Slim are available for 70, 76, 84, 90, 95, 102, 108, 114, 120 and 127 mm diameter anchor chains in all grades.

Anchor shackle type RAMFOR is based on the same interior design principles incorporated in the connectors type RAMFOR / RAMFOR Slim with the locking head designed to provide a larger load-carrying area which in turn gives a better stress distribution.

Kenter anchor shackle has the same outside shape as an anchor shackle type RAMFOR and with a simplified interior equivalent to a Kenter. Both shackles are closest equivalents to the BALDT (pear shaped) detachable anchor connecting links.

The small end of the shackle is designed to accept a common link for the sizes mentioned below. This eliminates costly enlarged links and end links.

RAMFOR Anchor shackle is dismantled / assembled in a similar way as the connector type RAMFOR.

Sizes: RAMFOR Anchor shackles are available for 70, 76, 84, 90, 95 and 120 mm diameter in offshore grades R3, R3S and R4.
